This afternoon adventure is one of the most scenic and enjoyable ways to experience Antigua. The tour takes you to three stunning mountain viewpoints offering panoramic vistas of the city, surrounding valley, and iconic volcanoes. Your journey begins at the famous “Cerro de la Cruz,” Antigua’s most renowned lookout point, also known as “The Cross.” From here, you'll enjoy a breathtaking aerial view of the colonial city nestled below. After taking in the scenery, you’ll hop back on your vehicle and ascend El Hato Mountain, climbing higher into the lush highlands toward your next destination.
Upon arrival in El Hato, you’ll switch to a 4x4 pick-up truck that takes you to Hobbitenango, a whimsical eco-park inspired by The Lord of the Rings. Nestled in an enchanted forest, this mountaintop destination offers epic sunset views, fun games, and unique photo opportunities. You’ll have time to explore its fantasy-themed attractions, enjoy drinks or snacks, and simply relax in the cool mountain air. On the way down, if you’re hungry, the experience continues at El Tambor, a traditional Guatemalan restaurant perched on the mountainside, where you can indulge in local dishes while soaking in the final views of the day.

My husband and I had a fantastic time on this tour! I wasn’t comfortable driving an ATV on my own, so we shared one, which worked out perfectly. Estuardo was an excellent guide, very friendly and personable. The views from Hobbitenango were beautiful, and the sunset made the experience even better. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner there at El Dragón Verde. Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience! Thanks again to Estuardo!
